Deux des plus grands guitaristes internationaux marqueront le début et la fin de l’été : Santana les 8 et 9 juillet et Eric Clapton pour le bouquet final du Monte-Carlo Sporting Summer Festival les 22 et 23 août.
Les mythiques groupes de rock américain ZZ Top (21 juillet) et Chicago avec le titre de l’année 1976 « If you leave me now » (28 juillet) seront présents ainsi que l’un des derniers grands représentants de la musique noire américaine, Percy Sledge & New Aces Band et son légendaire « When a man loves a woman » le 7 juillet.
Dans le registre soul, Diana Ross, la grande dame de la soul, ouvrira le Monte-Carlo Sporting Summer Festival les 4 et 5 juillet. Le 22 juillet ce sera Jill Scott, l’une des plus belles voix soul actuelle avec Macy Gray qui se produira le 2 août. Le 19 juillet Katie Melua dans une veine pop-folk blues y chantera pour la première fois sur la scène de la Salle des Etoiles tandis que la reine du R’n’B, Alicia Keys, revient après quatre ans, les 23 et 24 juillet. La canadienne Alanis Morissette viendra séduire le public avec son répertoire pop-rock le 8 août.
La chanson italienne sera également à l’honneur avec le crooner Mario Biondi le 6 août et d’autres valeurs sûres : Antonello Venditti le 14 août, Biaggio Antonacci le 15 août et Gianna Nannini le 16 août.
Côté crooner, on retrouvera aussi Michael Hucknall (chanteur de Simply Red) le 27 juillet. La nouvelle vague sera représentée par Peter Cincotti (29 juillet) et Jamie Cullum (9 août).

Entre ses somptueuses nuits de gala et les feux d’artifice qui illumineront ses arches, la mythique Salle des Étoiles ouvrira de nouveau sa scène à un show d’exception en juillet (le 10 et du 13 au 17) et en août (du 10 au 13 et du 17 au 21). « All night long » est un spectacle qui rend hommage aux plus belles chansons de la légendaire maison de disques Tamla Motown, qui a lancé nombre d’artistes dont les Supremes, Stevie Wonder, Marvin Gaye, Lionel Richie ou encore les Four Tops. Sur scène une troupe américaine de 10 chanteurs avec orchestre live, venue spécialement des Etats-Unis pour Monte-Carlo SBM.

She began learning piano at the age of 7 and by 12 she was already interested in rap music and in particular the rappers from her neighborhood, Harlem. A student of the Professional Performance Arts School de New York, at 14, she began listening to her musical intuition which led her to start writing her own songs. One of her first compositions, Butterfly showed up on her first album several years later. In 1997 she contributed to the original soundtrack of Men in Black thanks to the quality of her vocals and the the high competence of her technique. In 2004, she tried acting with a with a small role in a film produced by Halle Berry and then in 2007, she was cast in Smokin'Aces, a film which received good critical reviews. Nevertheless, music is her true passion and an area in which her talent is much appreciated. In 2002 she earned 3 trophies at the Soul Train Awards and in 2003, her second album, The Diary of Alicia Keys sold over 8 million copies.
