Blake Shelton (born June 18 1976 in Ada, Oklahoma<ref name="allmusic">{{cite web |url=http://wc04.allmusic.com/cg/amg.dll?p=amg&sql=11:wnfuxq9kldse~T1 |title=Blake Shelton biography |accessdate=2007-12-29 |last=Cohoon |first=Rick |work=All Music Guide</ref>) is an American neotraditional country musician and singer-songwriter. In 2001, he made his debut with the single "Austin (song)|Austin"; released as the lead-off single from his self-titled debut album, "Austin" went on to spend five weeks at Number One on the U.S. ''Billboard'' Hot Country Singles & Tracks charts.

Between 2001 and the present, Shelton has charted fourteen singles on the ''Billboard'' country singles charts, including three Number Ones. His first three albums -- ''Blake Shelton (album)|Blake Shelton'' (2001), ''The Dreamer (Blake Shelton album)|The Dreamer'' (2003) and ''Blake Shelton's Barn & Grill'' (2005) have all achieved RIAA gold certification in the United States. A fourth album, ''Pure BS'', was released in 2007.<ref name="allmusic"/>

Career
