Blues Traveler
 Blues Traveler is an United States|American rock band formed in Princeton, New Jersey, in 1987. They are best known to general audiences for their hit songs "Run-around", "Hook (song)|Hook" and "But Anyway".

As of 2007, the group comprises singer and harmonica virtuoso John Popper, guitarist Chan Kinchla, drummer Brendan Hill, bassist Tad Kinchla and keyboardist Ben Wilson (musician)|Ben Wilson. Tad Kinchla and Ben Wilson joined the band following the death of original bassist Bobby Sheehan in 1999 of a drug overdose in New Orleans, Louisiana.

The band's latest release is an acoustic "remix" greatest hits album called ''Cover Yourself''.

Overview
While Blues Traveler is best known among fans for their improvisational live shows, the general public is most familiar with the group from their fourth studio album ''Four (album)|Four''. Released in 1994, the two singles "Run-around" and "Hook (song)|Hook" gained mainstream radio popularity.

Blues Traveler's subsequent releases were not as successful as the Music recording sales certification|quintuple platinum sales of ''Four,'' though the band has maintained a loyal fanbase from the beginning of their career. Their albums with A&M Records|A&M in the later 1990s include ''Straight on Till Morning'' and ''Bridge (album)|Bridge''.

The Festival took off in April of 2004 as an endeavor to bring real music back to Arizona while getting the community together for a great cause: our children. Each year, the festival brings together 13 bands from a wide variety of genres over two days. This is our gift to the community, giving this forum to move and groove and make it your own in the wide open spaces against the backdrop of the McDowell Mountains.
