    Jovencísimo talento natural de Nebraska (USA), icono de la independencia musical estadounidense con su grupo Bright Eyes, nos visita por primera vez en la Argentina de la mano del cada vez mas exquisito Festival de nicho `Nuevos Aires Folk´. En Bright Eyes, Conor Oberst, dió rienda suelta a todo su potencial como músico y compositor. Se le han otorgado merecidas comparaciones con algunas leyendas vivas de la música folk contemporánea como Bob Dylan o Leonard Cohen. Un buen ejemplo es el single ‘Four Winds’ de su álbum ‘Cassadaga’ (Saddle Creek, 2007), en el que es inevitable acordarse del Dylan de ‘Hurricane’. También ha colaborado en otras grupos, incluyendo Desaparecidos, Commander Venus y Park Ave., y es cofundador y socio ejecutivo del sello independiente Team Love y Saddle Creek Records. Entre sus logros, se encuentra una colaboración con la legendaria cantante country Emmylou Harris, varias nominaciones para los premios MTV, y la invitación de Bruce Springsteen y REM a participar en la gira Vote For Change en 2004.
    "El nuevo Guthrie, el nuevo Dylan, el nuevo Springsteen". A Conor Oberst le llovieron los sobrenombres, aunque él se haya desmarcado de todos ellos.... y sólo tiene 26 años.
