Years of relentless touring have resulted in German metalcore group CALIBAN
gaining a huge reputation among the international hardcoremetal scene.
This August, CALIBAN bring their uniquely mind-blowing metal to Australian audiences and along for the ride is Melbourne hardcore heavyweights, HER NIGHTMARE.
Since first on our shores in 2006 with Megadeath, Soulfly and Arch Enemy on the aptly titled Gigantour lineup, CALIBAN are back for an Australian headline tour of their own. The band has been busy with a grueling international touring schedule and studio commitments for their strongest release to date during the bands 10-year career.
‘The Awakening’ is CALIBAN’s sixth full-length studio album and as described by guitarist Marc Görtz, it is “a mix of all the stuff we do best”. The album was mixed by metal hero Adam D. of Killswitch Engage and is out now on Roadrunner Records. ‘The Awakening’ features powerful and highly emotional verses and choruses that will make every metalcore fan’s heart beat faster. Unexpected breaks, melodious guitars and Andreas Dörner occasional whispers will have delightful shivers run down everyone’s spine.
Melbourne band HER NIGHTMARE will be sharing the stage with CALIBAN, showcasing their new album 'Come Anarchy Come Ruin' (out now on Resist Records). The album was recorded in the States with the legendary producer Zeuss (Shadows Fall, Hatebreed, Terror, Madball) and has taken the band to what their debut release 'No Heaven, No Hell' hinted at. HER NIGHTMARE is the toughest sounding hardcore band in Australia, making them the perfect addition to what would already be a must see show. |
