Chalee Tennison (born April 11, 1969) is an American country music artist from the state of Texas. She has released three major-label studio albums (two on Asylum Records and one on Dreamworks Records) in addition to charting six singles on the ''Billboard (magazine)|Billboard'' Hot Country Singles & Tracks (now Hot Country Songs) charts. Her highest charting singles, "Just Because She Lives There" and "Go Back", both reached #36 on that chart.

Biography
Prior to her music career, Tennison worked as a prison guard in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice, in addition to performing in various Texas bands.<ref name="allmusic">{{cite web |url=http://www.allmusic.com/cg/amg.dll?p=amg&sql=11:kbfrxqljldhe~T1 |title=allmusic ((( Chalee Tennison > Biography ))) |accessdate=2007-08-02 |last=Ankeny |first=Jason |work= Allmusic</ref> She moved to Nashville, Tennessee and worked as a demo singer, eventually signing to Asylum Records in 1999.<ref name="allmusic"/> She recorded two albums on Asylum, both albums producing minor chart entries.
