Daron Norwood (born September 30, 1965 in Lubbock, Texas) is an United States|American country music singer. To date, he has released two studio albums, both on Giant Records (Warner Bros. subsidiary label)|Giant Records (1993's ''Daron Norwood'' and 1995's ''Ready, Willing and Able'') and has charted six singles on the ''Billboard (magazine)|Billboard'' Hot Country Songs charts. His highest-charting single, "Cowboys Don't Cry", was previously a #65 country hit for Dude Mowrey in 1991.
Norwood also serves as a motivational speaker; his program, called "Keep It Straight", was developed to warn children of the dangers of drug and alcohol abuse.
On April 15, 2008, Norwood was arrested in Crestview, Florida, for allegedly battering his wife<ref>http://www.nwfdailynews.com/article/13704</ref>.
