Oxegen is an annual music festival, held since 2004, sponsored by Heineken International. It was previously called Witnness, which ran from the year 2000 and was sponsored by Guinness. Oxegen was originally a two-day festival but for 2008 will be expanded to three days. It takes place at the Punchestown Racecourse in County Kildare, Republic of Ireland and has an average attendance of around 80,000 a day, with around half of these camping on site for the duration, and the rest travelling to the site each day. The festival is promoted by MCD.
While Oxegen has not yet reached the iconic status of Glastonbury, it still manages to attract a large quantity of high profile acts each year. Generally, the festival's line-up is identical to that of T in the Park, which runs on the same weekend, but in Scotland. Many acts play Oxegen on the day that they're not playing TitP. As well as six stages of music, there are two large areas for camping which are subdivided by number. Stalls and shops are also provided, as well as toilet and shower areas (from 2006). The toilet facilities have been criticised by some as not being adequate for the large number of people at the festival. There is also a funfair adjacent to the arena, featuring a big wheel and other rides, such as the "Magic Carpet", the "Big Drop", and the roller coaster.

L’été revient et Electromind, pour la quatrième année consécutive, réinvestit les clubs, les plages privées et le centre ville de Montpellier les mercredi 16, jeudi 17, vendredi 18, samedi 19 et dimanche 20 juillet 2008 ainsi que l’espace Grammont pour la grande soirée de clôture le samedi 19 juillet 2008.
Nouveauté cette année, le cirque s'invite dans Electromind ...
Pour la soirée du 19 juillet, le festival accueillera, cette année, devant un public désormais international, plus de 40 artistes de notoriété mondiale. En une même soirée, sur 5 scènes, tous les styles musicaux électroniques dansants seront représentés : Electro, House, Techno, Minimal, Drum & Bass, Breack Beat, Hard Tech, Tribe, Hard Core...
Nous avons depuis deux ans décidé d'ouvrir le festival à la musique Hip Hop.
Les scènes seront animées par des VJ's pendant les lives et les mixs des artistes qui feront vibrés le sol montpelliérain.
Le festival Off, quand à lui, se déroulera les 16, 17, 18, 19 et 20 juillet. Il mettra en avant des artistes de la scène locale et régionale unissant ainsi la scène montante aux artistes qui se sont déjà fait une place dans le monde de la musique électronique.
En attendant le festival voici un aperçu de la programmation de cette 4ème édition :
Electromind c'est aussi Electromind Tour qui a débuté le 7 mai à Toulouse et qui s'achevera le 12 juillet prés de chez nous. Au programme de la caravane cette année après un passage en France, elle fera un passage en Europe avec entre autre la Suisse, l'Espagne et l'Autriche.

Am Samstag, den 19. Juli 2008 findet die Loveparade in Dortmund auf der B 1 an den Westfalenhallen unter dem Motto „Highway to Love“ statt.
Damit werden wir gemeinsam mit Euch für ein absolutes Novum in Deutschland sorgen. Zum ersten Mal in der Geschichte wird der „Metropolen-Highway“, der mit weit über 100.000 Autos täglich zu den meist befahrenen Strecken Deutschlands gehört, für eine Veranstaltung gesperrt. Das ist auch eine Premiere für die Loveparade, die erstmals in einer solch ungewöhnlichen Umgebung stattfindet. Damit legen wir die Hauptverkehrsader Deutschlands von West nach Ost und die Hauptschlagader der Metropole Ruhr für einen Tag lahm und verwandeln die B 1 in unseren “Highway To Love“. Die Strecke mündet dann an den Dortmunder Westfalenhallen, auf deren Gelände die Abschlusskundgebung stattfinden wird: länger, lauter und mehr live!
