She was the former lead singer of the famous band Sweetbox until she quit in September 2007, to pursue her music career under her new stage name, "Jade Valerie". She had been with the project for 7 years between 2000 and 2007, solidifying the success of her own and project parter, Geo's, musical career.

Villalon was born in San Diego, California|San Diego, California to a Filipino people|Filipino father and an United States|American born mother of German people|German and Irish people|Irish descent{{Fact|date=April 2008. She was raised partially in Japan from the age of three, but spent the majority of her childhood and teens in San Diego where she was a cheerleader in High School. She moved to Los Angeles, California|Los Angeles, California when she was eighteen to pursue her acting and musical career.
