Jeannie Seely (born Marilyn Jeanne Seely July 6, 1940 in Titusville, Pennsylvania) is an United States|American Country Music Singer and Grand Ole Opry star, who is best-known for her 1966 Grammy award-winning Country hit, "Don't Touch Me", which peaked at No. 1 on three major Country charts. She was one of Country music's most successful and most influential female vocalists of the 60s.
While being best-known for her 1966 breakthrough hit, Seely has produced numerous other Country hits, from the 60s into the mid-70s, including duets with Jack Greene like 1969's "I Wish I Didn't Have to Miss You". In addition, Seely has also been known for her outgoing personality, befriending many Country singers, including Jan Howard and Dottie West. Her influence has also left a mark on many Country female vocalists, including Lorrie Morgan. Because of this factor has been placed at No. 11 on the list of the ''Most Influential Females in Country Music History''.
