Kaci Lyn Battaglia (born 3 October 1987, Clearwater, Florida|Clearwater, Florida) also known as Kaci (prounounced kah-chee), is a singer, songwriter, dancer, actress, and professional kickboxing instructor. But her claim to fame will continue to be her music.
Life
Early life
She was born and raised in Tampa Bay. She is of Italian-American and Spanish-American ancestry. Battaglia began singing when she was three years old and soon began attending various performance camps around Florida. She is an only child.
Career
At age 10, Kaci independently released "A Thousand Stars," an album that was produced by her mother. A portion of the proceeds from "A Thousand Stars," went to help a housing project for the less fortunate. Kaci began looking for a recording contract when she was eleven years old, due to the success of her independent album. She caught the eye of Curb Records' head Mike Curb and was signed after giving them a performance. Her debut single (music)|single, "Paradise" was released in 2001. Her debut album, "I'm Not Anybody's Girl" was released later in 2002. She released the same album in the UK under the name of "Paradise," the year before.
