Lila Downs (born 1968 in Tlaxiaco, Oaxaca) is a Mexico|Mexican singer. She performs her own compositions as well as tapping into native Mesoamerican music of the Mixtec, Zapotec, Maya peoples|Maya and Nahuatl cultures.
