Mark Wills (born August 8, 1973 as Daryl Mark Williams<ref name="panta"/><ref name="guide"/>) is an USA|American country music singer. Wills' second album, Wish You Were Here (Mark Wills album)|''Wish You Were Here'', was released in 1998. His highest-selling album to date, it was certified platinum by the RIAA; its title track became his first Number One country hit in 1999. ''Wish You Were Here'' was followed by 2000's ''Permanently'' (which was certified gold) and 2001's Loving Every Minute (album)|''Loving Every Minute'', neither of which had the chart success of his second album.
