Massive Attack


Massive Attack are an England|English trip hop Musical band|band. Founded in Bristol in 1988, the band's current lineup consists of Robert Del Naja and Daddy G|Grantley Marshall. They have released four studio albums, two movie soundtracks, one remix album, and a greatest hits collection. Massive Attack are constant collaborators and have worked with a diverse mix of artists, from Sinéad O'Connor to reggae musician Horace Andy to Madonna (entertainer)|Madonna. With the release of their debut album ''Blue Lines'' (1991), Massive Attack were critically acclaimed for their fusion of jazz, hip hop music|hip hop, Rock (music)|rock, and soul (music)|soul elements into a new genre, trip-hop. With the release of later albums such as ''Protection (album)|Protection'' (1994) and ''Mezzanine (album)|Mezzanine'' (1998), the band integrated forms of electronic music into their sound. Their music was part of the larger Bristol underground scene.

2008 will see the return of Glastonbury’s award winning registration process and photo tickets. Full details regarding ticket purchase and how to register will be published here, on the official website by the middle of January, so watch this space for details.

Performing at Glastonbury 2008

Agents for artists signed with major labels can contact the Festival in the usual manner. Only digital submissions are accepted for Pyramid, Other and John Peel stages. Please do not send in CDs.

For Acoustic Stage please send CDs to Glastonbury Acoustic Stage, Asgard, 125 Parkway, Regents Park, London, NW1 7PS and for Dance Village - CDs to Glastonbury Dance Village, P O Box 1132, Bristol, BS99 2JZ or EPKs to the usual address.

For other peformers, the Festival is again running the Glastonbury New Talent Competition. Over 50 performers or groups that entered the competition last year played at Glastonbury 2007, with the winner, Liz Green, having a spot on the Pyramid Stage.

The Open'er Festival, commonly called Heineken Open'er Festival in the name of its main sponsor, is a contemporary music festival held in Gdynia, Poland.

Open'er Festival – festiwal muzyczny odbywający się w Gdyni od roku 2003. Pierwsza edycja festiwalu odbyła się w Warszawie w 2002, jako Open Air Festival. Organizatorem imprezy jest agencja koncertowa Alter Art, sponsorem głównym festiwalu - producent piwa Heineken. Ostatnia edycja festiwalu odbyła się w dniach 29 czerwca – 1 lipca.

W plebiscycie Nocne Marki.pl festiwal zdobył tytuł Najlepszego muzycznego wydarzenia na żywo 2005, a brytyjski magazyn Q uznał imprezę za jeden z 6 najważniejszych festiwali 2006 roku
