First.. our congratulations to Pura Vida who is the Benelux winner of the ERC. With that, they have earned the right to kick off this years edition.
Furthermore,.. the program is completed, and online! Added is a 3hour showcase with stars from the past & present. This package is exclusive for Sundance, and will close the Saturday. Added to the Jimmy/Tarrus Riley package is I-Octane, another one of Jamaica's young and upcoming stars. Finally the campingprogram is also complete.

January 21st
2008 has started, so time for an update regarding the news about the festival. In the 2nd weekend of August, from the 8th till the 10th to be exact, the E3 beach again will be transformed in a likkle piece of Jamaica in Holland. As promised we will solve the problem of the long waiting times on the Friday, as well as some other small logistical problems that occured. This means that for this edition we have to cancel the live shows on Friday, but instead the number of soundsystems and ‘special guests’ on the camping will be increased. More info to follow soon. Ao longo destes dois dias, pelo palco da Praia do Tonel, ao lado da Fortaleza de Sagres, passarão nomes ligados à música electrónica, reggae e soul. E o destaque vai imediatamente para Emir Kusturica e a No Smoking Orchestra, o projecto musical do premiado realizador sérvio responsável por pérolas cinematográficas como Gato Preto, Gato Branco ou Underground. A intensidade cénica, energia inesgotável e anarquia bem comportada são os ingredientes desta peculiar banda, responsável por temas como Unza Unza Time!, Bubamara e Pitbull Terrier que prometem levar os corpos à exaustão numa muito boa onda. Também confirmada a sensação do momento, a nigeriana ASA (asha) que depois de conquistar tudo e todos na sua estreia em Portugal, no Santiago Alquimista, regressa a Portugal com a sua boa disposição, grande à vontade em palco e o seu excelente álbum de estreia homónimo. Jailer e Fire on the Mountain são os temas que todos vão querer cantar em plenos pulmões. O roots reggae de Jahcoutix & Dubios Neighbourhood também estará no Algarve. Representando os portugueses, as sonoridades mescladas dos Manif3stos.
