Phil Vassar (born May 28, 1964, in Lynchburg, Virginia<ref name="allmusic">{{cite web |url=http://www.allmusic.com/cg/amg.dll?p=amg&samples=1&sql=11:kzfqxqrjldde~T1 |title=Phil Vassar biography |accessdate=2008-05-03 |last=Huey |first=Steve |work=All Music Guide</ref>) is an United States|American country music singer-songwriter and pianist. Vassar made his debut on the American country music scene in the late 1990s, co-writing singles for several country artists, including Tim McGraw ("For a Little While", "My Next Thirty Years"), Jo Dee Messina ("Bye, Bye", "I'm Alright"), Collin Raye ("Little Red Rodeo"), and Alan Jackson ("Right on the Money".<ref name="allmusic"/> In 1999, he was named by ASCAP as Country Songwriter of the Year.<ref name="allmusic"/>

Later that same year, Vassar was signed to Arista Nashville as a recording artist. His debut album, ''Phil Vassar (album)|Phil Vassar'', was released in early 2000; it produced five hit singles on the U.S. Hot Country Songs|''Billboard'' country singles charts and was certified gold in the United States. SUMMERFEST 2008, June 26th - July 6th!

Summerfest is an annual, 11 day music festival located on the shore of Lake Michigan at the Henry W. Meier Summerfest Grounds in Milwaukee, WI. The Fest features one headliner at the Marcus Amphitheater in addition to the many national and regional live acts featured throughout the festival grounds. Admission to the fest is $15 each day and includes access to acts on many different stages. Each night's headliner plays at the Marcus Amphitheater for an additional cost (this cost does include admission to the regular festival).

A limited number of bar-coded wristbands for free, general admission lawn seats will be available for the Rush show at the Marcus Amphitheater. The bar-coded wristbands will be issued in the forecourt of the Marcus Amphitheater on a first-come, first-served basis the day of the show to patrons who have purchased general admission to the festival grounds.
