The Alan Parsons Project was a United Kingdom|British progressive rock band active between 1975 and 1990<ref>[http://www.alanparsonsmusic.com/bio.php Alan Parsons - Bio FAQ Discography<!-- Bot generated title -->]</ref>, founded by Eric Woolfson and Alan Parsons. Immensely popular in North America and Continental Europe, they had little success by comparison in their home country.

History
Alan Parsons met Eric Woolfson in the canteen of Abbey Road Studios in the summer of 1974. Parsons already acted as assistant engineer on The Beatles' Abbey Road (album)|Abbey Road and Let It Be, had recently engineered Pink Floyd|Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon, and produced several acts for EMI Records. Woolfson, a songwriter and composer, was working as a session pianist; he also composed material for a concept album idea based on the work of Edgar Allan Poe.<ref>[http://www.the-alan-parsons-project.com/history-read-more.html History] ''alan-parsons-project.com''</ref>

Önceki yıllarda Türkiye’yi ziyaret eden ve unutulmaz konserleri ile Türk seyircilerinin hafızalarına kazınan “The Alan Parsons Live Project” 5 Nisan 2008 tarihinde Bostancı Gösteri Merkezi’nde verecekleri konser ile hayranlarıyla yeniden buluşacak. PMD YAPIM tarafından düzenlenen konserin biletleri Biletix ve Bostancı Gösteri Merkezi gişesinde satışa sunuldu. “Geri Dönüşümlü Biletler” her zaman olduğu gibi bir diğer PMD YAPIM organizasyonunda müzikseverlere %10 indirim avantajı sağlıyor.

Pink Floyd’un “The Dark Side Of The Moon” albümünün kayıt mühendisi olarak tanınan ve pek cok ünlü sanatçı ile grubun prodüktörlüğünü üstlenen Alan Parsons ile şarkı yazarı Eric Woolfson tarafından kurulan “The Alan Parsons Project” 70’li yıllardan itibaren yaptıkları tematik albümleri ile müzik tarihinde önemli bir yer edinerek 10 altın ve platin albüm ödülü kazandı.
