The Diplomats of Harlem World are an expansive Harlem, New York-based hip hop group who are more commonly known as Dipset.
The first commercial appearances of the group were on Cam'Ron's 2000 album S.D.E. (album)|SDE, released on Epic Records. During this period various members of the "original" group consisting of Cam'Ron, Jim Jones, Juelz Santana, and Freekey Zekey also appeared on New York area radio stations for live "freestyle" performances. The Diplomats were first signed together as a group to Roc-A-Fella Records from 2002 to 2004, but are now signed to their own label, Diplomat Records. Each individual artist, however is signed to different record labels, including Koch Records, Asylum Records, Def Jam, and others.
On December 17 2007, Jim Jones said to sixshot.com that even though there are controversies between the Dipset members (Jim Jones vs. Cam'ron, Hell Rell & 40 Cal.), they plan to bring back The Diplomats after a year break.
Sixshot.com stated, "Jones, who hasn’t been on speaking terms with Dipset honcho Cam’ron, also revealed that people from their camps have had conversations and a third installment of the Diplomatic Immunity series is in the works."
The album is expected to be released somewhere in the summer of 2008. <ref>[http://www.sixshot.com/articles/9355/ Jim Jones Plans to "Bark On&qu... read all
