The Proclaimers
 The Proclaimers are a Scotland|Scottish band composed of Twin#Identical twins|identical twins Charlie and Craig Reid (born March 5, 1962). They are best known for the songs "Letter from America (Song)|Letter from America", "I'm on My Way (song)|I'm on My Way", and "I'm Gonna Be (500 Miles)". "I'm Gonna Be" became the theme song for the film ''Benny & Joon'' (1993), and for several charity events, such as the Terry Fox Run and Red Nose Day 2007, as well as a Molson Canadian beer commercial.

Career
The twins were brought up in Auchtermuchty, Fife. After several punk rock bands at school, including one called "Eight-Eyes", in response to the taunts they received in junior school, they formed The Proclaimers in 1983.

2008 will see the return of Glastonbury’s award winning registration process and photo tickets. Full details regarding ticket purchase and how to register will be published here, on the official website by the middle of January, so watch this space for details.

Performing at Glastonbury 2008

Agents for artists signed with major labels can contact the Festival in the usual manner. Only digital submissions are accepted for Pyramid, Other and John Peel stages. Please do not send in CDs.

For Acoustic Stage please send CDs to Glastonbury Acoustic Stage, Asgard, 125 Parkway, Regents Park, London, NW1 7PS and for Dance Village - CDs to Glastonbury Dance Village, P O Box 1132, Bristol, BS99 2JZ or EPKs to the usual address.

For other peformers, the Festival is again running the Glastonbury New Talent Competition. Over 50 performers or groups that entered the competition last year played at Glastonbury 2007, with the winner, Liz Green, having a spot on the Pyramid Stage.

TFF.Rudolstadt – Germany’s biggest folk, roots and world music festival – takes place annually on the first full July weekend. It lasts 3 days (or rather 55 hours with no break) and presents more than 60 bands on more than 20 stages. 2008 will be the 18th edition from 4th to 6th of july.

Next year’s festival will, besides musicians from all five
continents, present: a country focus on the Israel, the
„magic concert” with master musicians of "Rahmentrommel" , and as dance of the year the Rock’n’roll.

Further highlights include the German World Music Award RUTH, the children’s festival, the instrument centre, chill out night, various workshops, seminars and exhibitions and an extensive street music programme in the city of Rudolstadt.

Das TFF.Rudolstadt – das größte Folk-Roots-Weltmusik-Festival Deutschlands - findet jährlich am ersten (vollständigen) Wochenende im Juli statt und dauert drei Tage. Vom 4.– 6. Juli 2008 geht es zum 18. Mal über die mehr als 20 Bühnen.
