Thievery Corporation is a Washington, D.C.-based recording artist and Disc Jockey|DJ duo consisting of Rob Garza and Eric Hilton and their supporting artists. Their music style is Dub music|dub, acid jazz, Indian classical music|Indian classical and Brazilian music|Brazilian (such as bossa nova) fused together with a Lounge music|lounge aesthetic. Formed in the summer of 1995 at D.C.â€™s Eighteenth Street Lounge. Rob Garza and Lounge co-owner Eric Hilton bonded over strong drinks, dub, bossa nova and jazz records, then decided to see what would come of mixing all these in a recording studio. From this, the duo was born and their self started label Eighteenth Street Lounge Music began to emerge on an international level.

The duo caught the ears of underground DJâ€™s with their first two 12" offerings, "Shaolin Satellite" and "2001 Spliff Odyssey" and with their 1997 debut LP, ''Sounds from the Thievery Hi-Fi'', they had already begun to define a new genre of electronic music and connect with an international community of like-minded souls. Though the terminology has varied (downtempo, chill out, leftfield and a myriad of other permutations), they have been at the top of their game ever since.

El festival se celebrará el 9 de agosto en la playa de Guardias Viejas. Creamfields Andalucia 5th edition changes its location to El Ejido. The festival will take place the 9th of August at Guardias Viejas beach. En 2008 el festival Creamfields Andalucía se traslada al municipio de El Ejido, tras cuatro años de celebración en Playa de Villaricos (Cuevas del Almanzora). La razón de este cambio de municipio se debe a la búsqueda por parte de la organización de un recinto más amplio y con unas infraestructuras más acordes con el número de asistentes al festival que ha aumentado año tras año. La organización ha querido mantener el festival en la provincia de Almería y agradecer así el apoyo recibido por parte de las instituciones locales, sobre todo del consistorio de Cuevas del Almazora y en especial del Excmo. Alcalde, Don Jesús Caicedo, sin cuya ayuda no hubiera sido posible la celebración y consolidación de este evento musical. In 2008 Creamfields Andalucia festival moves to El Ejido, after four years in Playa De Villaricos (Cuevas del Almanzora). The reason of this change is to accommodate the larger number of attendees and to have a bigger location with an infrastructure more apropriate for the number of attendees that has been increasing year after year. The new location reflects also that the organization will keep the festival in the province of Almeria and to show its gratitude to the local institutions and above all to the city council of Cuevas del Almanzora, especially to the major, mister Jesús Caicedo, to who without his help, it will have never been possible the celebration and consolidation of this musical event.
