Vivian Green (born 1980) is an United States|American R&B singer, songwriter, and pianist.
Biography
Green was born in the East Oak Lane section of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and took an interest in singing, playing the piano, and songwriting at a very young age. At the age of thirteen, she became a member of a female quintet called Younique. Also, she's a graduate of Parkway Northwest High School.
In 1994 she wrote songs for many artists, including Britney Spears.
Green received her big break at the age of nineteen when she became a Backing vocalist|backing singer for Jill Scott, who took her on an international tour. She signed to Columbia Records in November 2001.
Green released her first album ''A Love Story'', featuring the hit "Emotional Rollercoaster", in November 2002 in the U.S. and February 2003 in the United Kingdom. Three years later she released her second album ''Vivian'' which featured the hit first single "Gotta Go, Gotta Leave (Tired)".
During her three-year hiatus she had a son, Jordan, with ex-finacee Erik Tribbet, a drummer from nearby Camden, New Jersey. At a recent gig, Vivian announced that she is currently recording her third album.
