The Ying Yang Twins are an Atlanta, Georgia|Atlanta-based United States|American crunk hip hop music|rap duo consisting of Kaine (born Eric Jackson on December 16,1978) and D-Roc (born Deongelo Holmes on February 23, 1979).
Career
They first came to notice in 2000 with the single "Whistle While You Twurk"(written by Kelli Wender), which got play on urban and pop radio stations and peaked at #16 on the R&B/Hip-Hop Tracks chart|US R&B/Hip-Hop chart. They grew even more fame when they toured with Juz tha King and Demo Dil on the tour called King Me. Their full-length debut album, ''Thug Walkin, came out later that year. Their next album, ''Alley: The Return of the Ying Yang Twins'' was released in 2002 and was successful among hip-hop fans in the Southern United States. The same year, the group appeared on the album ''Kings of Crunk'' by Lil Jon on the single "Get Low (song)|Get Low". The song was a huge club and radio hit, and the duo subsequently signed a deal with TVT Records.<ref name="amg">Phares, Heather.
